KUALA LUMPUR – FGV Holdings Berhad (FGV) will hold an open interview session for the Young Entrepreneurs Programme aimed at producing young entrepreneurs who will be involved in the palm oil industry and become vendors to FGV in the future.

The open interview programme will be held on April 18, 2018, 9.00 am to 5.00 pm concurrently at FGV offices in 18 selected locations throughout the country as follows: Kelantan – Aring 6, Terengganu – Chador, Pahang – Lepar Hilir 8, Lepar Utara 8, Bukit Sagu 8 and Kechau 6, Negeri Sembilan – Palong 18 and Tembangau 3, Johor – Tenggaroh Timur 2, Selendang 4, Selancar 9 and Moakil 7, Perak / Selangor – Besout 7 and Lawin Tengah, Kedah / Perlis – Laka Selatan and Sabah – Sahabat 55, 56 and Umas 5.

The application is open to Malaysian citizens including FELDA settlers, children of FGV and FELDA staff residing in FELDA’s settlements. The criteria for participants is Men, aged 18 to 30 years old, holds at least  Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) or equivalent, has a good degree of literacy (reading, writing, calculating, IT literacy) and healthy body. Applicants are required to bring relevant certificates during interviews, identity cards and neatly dressed.

The selected participants will attend six-month training and all learning costs, equipment and monthly allowances are fully borne by FGV.

The training covers the introduction of basic business and financial management of a company, field training on FGV estates and on-the-job training and assessment by the Mentor who is an experienced manager at FGV.

This programme will be implemented on an ongoing basis with the ultimate goal of producing more young entrepreneurs who are competitive and able to support the development of the country’s palm oil industry and in line with FGV’s social responsibility goals that are concerned with the environmental sustainability and social development of the local community
